Shops — The Real Reason to Upgrade
This is the part that has Reddit arguing. Five physical locations in Vice City and Leonida are Ultimate Edition-exclusive:

Standard Edition players can still customize their characters and vehicles — but through different, smaller shops. In other words, the five locked locations are additional options with unique inventory. Naturally, if you’re the type of player who spends 20 minutes picking tattoos before a mission, the upgrade matters. On the other hand, if you grab whatever’s closest and move on, it doesn’t.
Missions — Two Extra Side Stories
The Ultimate Edition includes two side missions not available in Standard:
- PTT Youngin$ Gang Compound Raid — Infiltrate a gang stronghold to steal contraband. This is a full combat mission, not a fetch quest.
- Wyman’s Classic Car Collection — Find and restore abandoned classic cars across Leonida. Similar in structure to the collectible missions in GTA V, but presented as a special commission with unique rewards.

One More Thing — The “Physical” Edition Has No Disc
If you’re walking into GameStop expecting a disc, you’ll get a cardboard box with a download code inside. There is no disc, which also means zero resale value and no way to lend it to a friend.
